Het voormalige deportatiestation van Bobigny is open voor het publiek
De gedenkplaats van het historische deportatiestation van Bobigny in de buurt van Parijs is sinds half januari open voor bezoekers.
Het voormalige station is een van de weinige deportatielocaties die sinds de Tweede Wereldoorlog vrijwel onveranderd is gebleven.
Omdat het vandaag 27 januari 78 jaar geleden is dat Auschwitz werd bevrijd, zal er op de locatie een herdenking worden gehouden voor de internationale dag ter nagedachtenis aan de slachtoffers van de Holocaust en de preventie van misdaden tegen de menselijkheid.
De officiële opening is gepland op 18 juli, de verjaardag van het eerste deportatiekonvooi dat vertrok vanaf het station van Bobigny.
OKRA heeft de eer gehad om het ontwerp te mogen leiden van de scenografische, landschappelijke en architecturale renovatie van de gedenkplaats voor de toekomstige generaties.

The memorial site for the historic Bobigny deportation station in the Paris area, is now open for visitors since mid-January
The former station is one of the few deportation sites that has been kept almost unchanged since the second world war.
As today January 27th marks the 78th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, a commemoration for the international day in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the prevention of crimes against humanity will be held on the site.
The official inauguration is planned on July 18th, anniversary date for the first deportation convoy that left from the station of Bobigny.
OKRA has been honored to be able to lead the design of the scenographic, landscape and architectural renovation of the memorial site for the future generations.
