Hira Usman Khan
Landscape designer
“Because of my training as a Landscape architect and theoretical background from the Master’s degree, I feel particularly drawn to the integration of ecosystems and resilient landscapes as part of urban strategies. I am fascinated by the ways local ecologies influence individual identities, and I believe that participatory design and systemic thinking are crucial tools for forging stronger connections between individuals and their environments. My objective is to use landscape architecture as a tool to address global environmental problems by developing a critical understanding of the synergy between blue-green infrastructure and climate change adaptation as an inclusive design process.”
Education: MSc, Sustainable architecture and landscape design, Politechnico di Milano
