Who we are

We are a team of passionate and curious individuals, working in the heart of Utrecht’s historic centre. Together we strive to have an open-minded working environment, welcoming new initiatives, and ideas to help us create meaningful places.

How we work

We believe that a team is stronger than a group of people. We embrace our differences and believe that the best results are achieved by combining our experiences and making sure every voice is heard. We foster our informal office culture both within and outside the studio, with frequent organised and spontaneous social events, activities and excursions. Let’s celebrate our successes together.

Knowledge development

We realise thoughtful and realistic designs by combining our collective experience with continuous research and knowledge development. We work together with leading academic institutions and universities to keep expanding and deepening our knowledge and translate it into feasible design solutions that we apply in our projects. Through our internal “OKRA academy programme”, we actively support the development of knowledge around industry related themes that can make our work more meaningful. Finally, we offer a variety of in-house training and workshops by team members as well as by external experts and tutors, ranging from learning software to language training.

A responsible employer

We believe in the power of a healthy motivated team. We offer equal opportunities, regardless of race, gender and sexual orientation, and good employment conditions. The interests of all employees are respected and our representative body for employees is consulted for all major decisions affecting working conditions. Within our project teams, all team members regardless of background and experience, are invited to actively contribute to the project development. It is your opportunity to seize.

Limiting our footprint

Our impact is not limited to the projects we realise, but also the mark we leave. We aim to limit the negative impact of daily operations on the planet by making sustainable and ethical choices.
