We’re delighted to share that Marina Park has won a LOOP Design Award 2026 in the Parks and Open Space category, celebrating the park as a vibrant, adaptable public landscape for Cork.

Marina Park’s unique character emerges through three contrasting yet connected landscapes. The Urban Park creates an energetic stage for gathering, play and events; the 13-hectare Eco-Park invites exploration through restored wetlands, woodlands and meadows; and the car-free Marina Promenade reconnects Cork with the River Lee. Water is the unifying force, turning stormwater management into a visible and engaging landscape that strengthens biodiversity, climate resilience and public life. Together, these landscapes allow the park to shift from lively and urban to quiet and natural, offering space for many different activities, encounters and rhythms throughout the year.

We are grateful for this recognition and are proud to create places that transform and bring new meaning to our cities.
