Construction begins in our newly designed Polytechnique station area!
Our vision for the new Polytechnique station area is now under construction! Designed first and foremost as a place for people, it offers spaces to pause, meet, and connect with nature.
By bringing mobility, ecology and everyday uses together, our design for the station’s public realm becomes a catalyst for sustainable urban living in Paris‑Saclay, setting a benchmark for climate‑resilient transport hubs. It offers public spaces for a major mobility gateway that can accommodate growing flows, provide intuitive connections, and support a wide range of urban functions.
By introducing a clear spatial logic, our design connects the district’s dense campus core and its natural edge through walkable routes, strong cycling links, and people-friendly streets, placing comfort, connection, and everyday life at the forefront while serving as a welcoming gateway to the campus city.
“We are excited to see our vision starting to take shape on the ground: a climate-resilient station forecourt designed as an everyday living space, encouraging active mobility, inviting people to stay, and supporting everyone who travels, works, and lives in Paris-Saclay.”
— Antoine Thevenet, Senior project leader, OKRA
Construction at the station marks a first step, but our scope of work operates within a much broader masterplan shaping the future of the École polytechnique district in Paris-Saclay. In collaboration with a team led by LIST architects, we shape a vibrant, climate-resilient, mixed-use campus city: a place where city and nature connect, sparking collaboration, serendipity, and intellectual exchange, while offering spaces for leisure, sport, and community life.
