Lia Chowdhury is an intern at OKRA. She is interested in designing for the betterment of a whole community while focusing on the need for each individual. The very indigenous character of a specific locality attracts her most while considering appropriate design solutions for that society. She believes in a consistent effort and hard work that will undoubtedly lead a project to be a good one in the end.
Lia studied architecture at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and has recently completed her masters in landscape architecture (cum laude) at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. Her design concerning a Natura 2000 protected site was acknowledged as the best Master’s design project. She also appreciates participating in different national and international workshops and competitions for gaining practical knowledge, experiencing the context and identify the potentials for the future.
