Elissavet Markozani

Senior Landscape Designer

Elissavet Markozani joined OKRA in 2020. She believes that the beauty of the landscape is hidden in the simplicity and that the process of the abstraction can release its most particular aspects. The past, the memory and the history of a place is always a challenge in her designs. Working with an analytical strategy and supporting minimal interventions, she is interested in the ethical and social aspects of contemporary public spaces.

Elissavet holds a Master of Science in Landscape Architecture from the Delft University of Technology and a Master in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Crete. She has worked at A.& G. Varoudakis Architects in Chania and Thymio Papayiannis & Associates Inc. in Athens. Parallel, she participated and honoured in international and national architecture competitions and exhibitions, including the International Biennale of Landscape Architecture in Barcelona in 2014 and 2018.
