The Municipal Executive of Huizen has determined the final coastal vision for Huizen and offered it to the municipal council. This vision is the result of extensive sessions that OKRA landscape architects had with many residents, entrepreneurs, fellow governments, and other stakeholders. The youth also contributed ideas. The integrated coastal vision provides a picture of how Huizer coast could develop. The coastal vision also offers opportunities for future developments in the hinterland, for the village and for the people living on the Lake Gooimeer.
OKRA is currently working on a vision for the entire coastal area of the municipality of Gooise Meren, from Diemen to the Stichtse Brug. The vision for the coastal area, including the ports, must provide direction for the next 20 years.
