OKRA was founded in 1993 by Hans Oerlemans, Martin Knuijt, Christ-Jan van Rooij and Boudewijn Almekinders and has grown into a well-established agency, executing both national and international projects. OKRA employs an international staff of twenty five people, all educated in universities or vocational training degrees. The office is a mix of landscape architects, urban and regional planners, architects, artists, graphic and industrial designers, and civil technical advisors. They are skilled communicators, able to portray and express ideas with conviction and they excel in both problem solving and motivating.
